hey hey.. haha.. back from aussie trip.. just uploaded some of the pics i took over there on facebook ystd.. decided to just write a bit over here.. lazy to upload any pics here le.. hee..

hmm.. on 13nov, we left our hse at 7pm.. took taxi to changi airport.. ate dinner.. entered the internal area.. took skytrain ard to other terminals.. haha.. waiting for out flight which is at 10pm plus.. the plane we took had a stopover at adelaide first, abt 1h there.. lol.. then from there to sydney.. b4 changing to a domestic plane to brisbane.. quite funny.. we sort of 'visited' the airports of diff states on our way there.. and for our return flight.. similar thing! from brisbane to perth first.. b4 heading back to singapore.. oh well.. but we dont mind the extra time wasted..=p anywayz.. the international and domestic terminals over in aust state airports are really quite far from each other.. didnt know.. haha.. not quite like singapore where the terminals are all well connected via skytrain.. for both sydney and perth airports we had to take an internal bus to travel between the terminals.. can be quite confusing.. cos dont know where to go at first.. had to ask ard.. haha.. nobody briefed us anything..

yup.. disregard that.. lol.. we reached brisbane airport ard noon.. took the coachtran over to our hotel courtyard by marriot.. reached at ard 3pm plus.. settled down.. haha and soon it was already time for dinner.. dont have time to go else where yet on the first day there.. the area we stayed is surfer's paradise.. there a lots of cafes there.. one whole stretch there.. so we just chose one and ate there.. in the end we ordered too much! i rmb.. on our first day.. lol! didnt realise their portions will be bigger.. then we could not finish all the potatos.. be it fries, or mashed.. haha.. super full lah.. in fact most of the next few days we ate dinner ard that same area.. trying diff cafes each time.. then we will definitely buy alcohol there.. heez.. my mum will always buy wine.. my dad beer.. then i will try cocktails.. haha.. i realised i like toblerone a lot! very nice.. maybe cos its quite sweet.. got choc and even honey..=p i tried some kind of red coloured cocktail also, forgot what its called.. but i didnt quite like it.. and also mudslide.. not bad.. but toblerone is still the best for me..=) my mum keep saying the wine there so much cheaper.. lol.. price of softdrink..

next day morn.. we planned to go harbourtown, the factory outlets there.. cos i wanted to shop! lol.. luckily i took a lot of brochures at the airport.. then there was one, a get ard guide.. that was really useful.. cos then i will know what bus to take.. the bus service there was quite convenient to travel from place to place.. my mum and i spent a lot of time there.. such that my dad and little bro decided to go back first.. play at the arcade near our hotel area.. lol.. in fact i didnt shop enough! haha.. cos didnt manage to look at quite a lot of shops.. then b4 we knew it, the shops had their doors half shut already.. cos it was alrdy 5pm plus.. and they were getting ready to close.. sian.. and so off we go.. head back to our hotel..

on sunday.. we went to the carrara markets.. cos they only open during wkends.. from what i researched on the internet.. haha.. wanted to see the many many small stalls there.. it was pretty sunny that day.. hot hot.. so by the afternoon we left that place le after walkin thru.. its just like a huge pasar malam.. selling a really wide variety of stuffs from clothes, toys, snacks, souveniers, fruits, plants etc.. after that we went to pacific fair shopping centre.. to cont shopping.. now with shelter.. heez..

mon-wed we planned to go movieworld, dreamworld, and whitewater world.. got our tix at our hotel.. got a bit of discount.. compared to buying there itself.. a few bucks.. lol.. but the tix are really very pricey.. for the 3 worlds.. we spent abt 600bucks.. just on the entry tix.. but i guess its still worth it bah.. for the experience..=p their rides, progs really got standard de..! compared to.. eh.. those i went to b4.. which is local, and genting.. lol!! worth to give a try.. i took quite a few rides.. super fun.. scary.. exciting.. tried the claw, giant drop.. scary but damn shiok though.. heez.. for the tixs only my little and bro worth the money paid.. my mum and dad a bit wasted.. oops.. haha cos they didnt really take any rides.. help us take care of our bags.. sit somewhere.. drink coffee.. for my mum is whitewater world quite wasted.. cos she din want to take the water rides.. scared very cold.. actually that wk's weather wasnt very good.. weather forecast said that weather will be wet.. mon, tues there was drizzle.. thats why i couldnt take the superman ride.. wanst in operation cos of the rain.. sianz.. thats for movie world.. haha.. dreamworld.. it was a bit drizzling also.. we had to run ard betw shelters.. lol.. only my mum brought umbrella.. just 1.. we didnt want to buy poncho there cos quite ex.. haha.. save money.. luckily luckily on wed, there was no rain! haha.. at first we were so afraid that we cant take the water rides at whitewater world.. heng.. cos at first weather forecast was that there will be thunderstorm! haha.. the first ride we took was awesome! it was really like a real rollercoaster but with water.. we took that one for abt 5 times in total.. lol.. after gg for the rest of the rides.. and gg back to that one after.. but that area was quite small. so we just spent one morn there.. luckily ours was a 2 day world pass.. so we could go back to dreamworld.. and take the rides there again..=p quite lucky that these few days not a lot of ppl so dont have any long queue problem! haha..

thurs morn went to walk at the beach.. their water there really very clean and nice.. sand very very nice to step on.. haha.. 11am check out le.. took bus to the train station.. nerang station.. took their air train to brisbane central! haha.. abt 1h journey.. had a bit of trouble finding our hotel.. but finally we did! and it turned out that the hotel we booked was a service apartment.. haha! didnt realise.. 2 bedrm apartment.. supeeerrr nice lah.. got kitchen.. stove, oven, dishwasher, big living rm, plasma tv.. balcony, washing machine.. even dryer.. lol.. wasted.. only stayed there for 2 days.. as we wanted to make use of the kitchen there.. my little bro and i were planning to cook breakfast the next day.. haha.. so that afternoon when we first reached.. we walked over to woolworth supermkt.. and got sausages, bacon, salad, baked beans, egg, bread.. thats abt it.. haha.. and that night, all these ingredients we shopped actually came in handy..! lol.. cos there was this HUGE storm brewing that evening.. it was really quite scary.. cos never seen such storms b4 over here.. we were standing at the balcony.. and could see the whole process where the dark clouds gradually moved closer and closer to us.. covering more and more of the sky.. with lighting flashing like very few sec.. thunder.. then after a while.. we could few rain drops already.. and b4 we know it.. phoom.. heavy rain.. splashing into the balcony such that we all had to retreat back into the rm and shut the balcony door.. lol.. and so.. we cooked dinner instead! using the ingredients we bought earlier.. haha.. cos thats was no way we could go out to take dinner.. haha...! it was pretty cool.. having dinner there.. cosy feeling..=) and in fact our meal was like a full course.. we even had wine cos earlier we bought one bottel also.. only 10bucks lol.. cheapest one.. and cos our aparment had everything.. we didnt lack anything.. the dining table even had table mats..

the next day we went to take the citycat ferry.. again.. quite lucky i guess.. cos that morn the ferry service resumed again.. after stoppin the previous night cos of the storm.. but at that time.. brisbane river already became very muddy.. with tree branchers, logs.. floating abt in the river.. no longer the clean river.. eh.. we took the ferry all the way to my uni! UQ.. haha..=p explored a small part of my sch.. had a bite there.. b4 heading back.. alighting at north quay this time.. cos wanted to walk ard queen street mall that area.. cont a bit of shopping.. went back hotel in the afternoon.. cos was on the way to chinatown.. so went back, went the jacuzzi there.. the previous night i went swimming there also..but the pool quite small.. and their water there dunno why super salty. wonder why make it that way.. oh.. then my little bro and i went to the gym also.. haha.. after that then we walked over to chinatown..=) hmm.. the chinatown there actually nothin much.. eh.. pretty quiet.. my dad keep saying not very successful.. cos very very few aussies actually visit that place.. only chi frequent that area i think.. and just the next street.. can see a few bars packed with many aussies.. diff situation.. haha.. had a quick dinner there.. but their chi food.. as hear say from others not very good.. was really quite so-so.. haha.. oh well.. for a change.. no harm.. cos the past few days we have been eating western food non-stop.. lol..

next day morn, sat, woke up early as our flight was 9am plus.. so took airtrain to the domestic terminal.. had to be there 1 hr earlier.. check in our luaggage.. and soon.. we were on the plane to perth.. and then from there.. back to singapore.. home sweet home.. lol.. so fast! our trip to aust end le.. haiz.. good times always end real fast.. and we will always hope it doesnt come so quickly.. haha..

but soon this thurs.. my family and i gg m'sia again.. haha.. this time gg straight to penang le.. not stoppin midway at kl.. cos got 3 drivers now! haha.. i can help to drive le..=) these few days many things to pack.. and my room still forever as untidy.. and though i know i have many things to do.. i still take my own sweet time.. not getting my priorities right.. oh well.. haha.. wow.. type soooo long! le.. haha.. so will end soon.. hmm.. thinkin of adding captions to the pics i uploaded on facebook.. sort of a miniblogging over there.. for memory sake.. eh..hopefully i can find time to do that over these 2 days.. ooh.. tmr gg for my visa med checkup.. hope everything gg to be fine..=p heez.. gg to slp le! nitez..=)
